Affpal went Yerevan
First time MAC first time Armenia. And I still think back to it with the best memories. It was planed for a while but personal reasons stopped me from going there. It was a huge pleasure to be invited to speak in that fantastic conference. This time the topic was different. Instead of training Affiliate Managers how to get the most out of their partnership manager work, we took the other route. We were showing Affiliates how to become the prefered partner of their AMs. Traffic talks! But in the end of the day, a great relationship helps you to get access to private offers, bumps, more caps and insides you need.
The Speech
Its always a thrill to speak. Especially on a new show about a niche topic, how will the audience react, will there be hecklers, are my new slides prepared well… Additionally MAC has the reputation to be only for CIS/UA (something that is not true but later more about that) All went very well in the end. The hall was nearly full, tech worked super and the hospitality towards the speakers was absolute top notch. A special thank you to Tanya & Alex that took amazing care of us. Its helping when you have the full support of the conference including speaker lounge and a special VIP program. If MAC asks you to speak, Do it! No matter from what region you are from.

The MAC Conference
The conference itself was massiv! Packed with Booths and Delegates, more than I expected to be honest. Irina from the Affjobs Team was joining as well as our Biz Dev and CIS expert and we got plenty of business out of it. The people were extremely business driven, and as the industry grows they need recruiters to help them with their Affiliate Roles. And now to the language barierr. It does not exist. 85% of the people I met spoke min C1 English, and they are very exited to chat you up if you are speaking it. So the networking is perfect, what I still recommend is to bring somebody speaking RU or UA with you. When it comes really to business, its the prefered language.
MAC Party
Unfortunately I had to catch a flight at 6 am, so I kept it decent. As I heard so many legendary stories about the closing party I wanted to see it myself at least. And it was impressive! An entire Arena, big VIP area, live music, and tasty catering.
Its clear that the show is a big success and I am looking forward to got next year again. Without a morning flight
